Painting the new Vans store in Seville has been a very exciting project. What I enjoyed the most about this work was integrating the essence of Seville into a contemporary space, bringing to the walls elements that connect with the city’s identity. In the mural, I depicted the Giralda, the moon and the star of Camarón de la Isla, flamenco women, and elements of Mozarabic architecture, combining them with Vans’ iconic checkerboard patterns.

For the fitting room area, I hand-painted several skateboards, inspired by the Vans identity. The contrast of blending the essence of Seville with the Vans image in the same space has been a creative challenge that I found especially rewarding.

URBANWALLS – LA MAQUINISTA

This work for URBANWALLS at “La Maquinista,” commissioned by B-Murals, has been a beautiful challenge.

Working in a three-dimensional space like a cube presents a unique challenge and an incredible opportunity to play with perspective, light, and space.

This piece, “AMANECER” (“DAWN”), represents not just a natural phenomenon, but also a symbol of renewal, hope, and new beginnings.

QUICKSILVER STORE MADRID

Murals for the opening of the Quicksilver store at El Corte Inglés, Puerta del Sol, Madrid.
Inspired by the ocean, surf culture, and the Neptune statue in Madrid. The main piece, “Neptune,” is designed for the store’s hall, while the “Seahorse” mural is intended for the fitting room area.

HOUSE OF VANS BARCELONA

Live painting at House of Vans Barcelona was an amazing experience. I spent two days creating these skategirls on 2-square-meter wooden panels. With music, skateboarding, and art all taking place simultaneously, it was truly an unforgettable event.

This live-painted piece, created right after the pandemic lockdown, is a powerful call for freedom. Following a challenging period that we’d rather forget, it reminded us to cherish the gift of being alive and free. IMMERSION 2021

IMMERSION is born from the belief that art and creativity have the power to transform consciousness. Our collective of artists delves into the intersection of art and sustainable development, aiming to foster a world that respects both Beings and Nature. We emphasize the artist’s role as a mediator and catalyst for dialogue on social and environmental issues. Through our collaboration, we seek to raise awareness and develop practical solutions, encouraging public participation in the creation of a more open society.

This year’s residency in Urrugne, France, spans 15 days and centers around “ANCESTRAL WISDOM” as the thematic core of the exhibition. The event features artists Javier Mendizabal, Mireia Tramunt, and Coralie Bonnet, with Carine Bedoya as curator.

Understanding and appreciating biodiversity is crucial for preserving our natural world. Traditional knowledge passed down through generations illustrates the deep connection between Nature and culture. While Nature, with its accumulated wisdom, can sustain itself, human survival depends on our respect and adherence to this wisdom.
